40 Items You Should Always Buy During Publix BOGO Sale
Are you a Publix shopper? If so, buckle up because I made a list of 40 items you should ALWAYS buy during a Publix BOGO sale. Like, always. This is probably one of the best and easiest ways to save money on groceries.
If you live in Southeastern US, the chances are that you have shopped at Publix at least once in your life. And you may also know that Publix is famous for its Buy One, Get One Free (BOGO) sales.
Except for my 52 Weeks Savings Plan, this is the first time I have written a post about how to save money in a specific area.
I admire bloggers that write about saving money, living frugally, and handling finances at home. Because one thing I’m not good at is at saving money. And I am not particularly good at saving money on groceries.
But I guess with age, I’ve gotten wiser and a little more prudent with how I spend money, especially when it comes to grocery shopping. And the Publix BOGO sales help me save money on groceries in the long term.

What is a Publix BOGO sale?
BOGO stands for Buy One, Get One. To be more specific, it means you will receive a free product of equal or lesser value with the purchase of another one of the same or within the same brand and category.
You are getting the products 50% off, assuming you’re choosing two units of the same product. No matter how you look at it, a Publix BOGO sale is a good deal, considering their prices are always slightly higher than the competition.
So, next time you see items you love or use, buy one get one free at Publix, don’t hesitate to buy them. It’s a good deal!
When do BOGO sales start at Publix?
Depending on where you live, Publix BOGO sales start on Wednesday or Thursday. These are typical approaches, but you should always check with your local Publix store to confirm.
Find your state using the chart below:

Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee North Carolina; South Carolina; Aiken-Augusta, Georgia; Virginia | Southeast Florida Central, Western, and Southwest Florida Orlando region; Osceola and Citrus counties; Montgomery south Alabama; southeast Georgia; Hilton Head and Beaufort, South Carolina |
How to find Products Buy One Get One Free at Publix?
Publix BOGO sales are super obvious and clearly marked in the stores. However, unless you want to walk every aisle and check every shelf, you can always browse their website. Better yet, download their mobile app to ensure you don’t miss any BOGO offer you might be interested in.

Which items should you PURCHASE during A Publix BOGO Sale?
Just because there’s a BOGO sale doesn’t mean that you have to take advantage of ALL of them and purchase every item you see BOGO. I’ve done this more times than I can count, and it is not an intelligent way to save money.
If you don’t need it and if you don’t use it, don’t buy it! You want to save money on groceries, not spend it on items that you don’t need.
So, after 13 years of religiously completing my weekly grocery shopping at Publix, I have mastered the science of Publix BOGO sales shopping.
