I am a gadget and technology nerd. There is no doubt about it. If I have to pick between a pair of new shoes or a brand new wireless outdoor security camera, you bet I want that camera!
So, it’s not surprising that I chose to work in partnership with Logitech to bring you this full review and tutorial on how to install and set up the Logitech Circle 2 security camera.
For a little over a year, I have been researching for a wireless home security camera that I could easily install and monitor from anywhere. My main intention has been to monitor the front yard where my son spends infinite hours playing with his friends.

Parenting and Working
As a work-at-home mom, dividing my time and attention between work and parenting is tough. On one hand, the fire of entrepreneurship is burning inside me 24/7. I adore my job as a blogger, and I am more pumped each day about my growing business than the previous day.
On the other hand, I am very appreciative of the opportunity to stay at home with my son. I have been at home with him and for him every day of his life. While I watch him grow, he watches me grow my business. It’s a blessing to be home every day and not miss one milestone in his life.
Having the flexibility to be home every day with him is something I do not take for granted. I am able to be there for anything he needs from me, from hugs to snacks to homework to playtime and everything in between.
I would sit on the front porch with other moms during his preschool years and watch him play with his friends for hours. All the kids were little, and even coming inside the house for a bathroom break meant one of us always saying: “Can you watch [child’s name] for a minute while I go [action]?”
As much as I loved and enjoyed those moments, I have to admit that my mind was always racing. Always thinking about work and the pile of materials and customer orders I had left sitting on my desk, halfway done. But I do not regret a second of my time outdoors watching my son play and grow.
Why I Chose the Logitech Circle 2 Camera
Fast forward a couple of years, and now I have a 3rd grader. Holy smokes! I remember clearly the day we brought him home from the hospital.
That precious little baby that couldn’t fend for himself is now shy of 5 ft tall and 79 pounds. But you know what they say, no matter how big they are, they will always be our babies. At 8 years old, I still can’t help but feel the need to watch him and protect him. All mothers do.

Unboxing the Logitech Circle 2
This little but mighty box is packed with all the things you need to install and set up your new wireless home security camera.
As I mentioned before, I was so excited to open this box and start ‘playing around’ with the app and all its great features. So, the first thing you have to do is download the Logi Circle app to your phone. Needless to say, you will need an internet connection.
The instructions included in the box are pretty straightforward. All you have to do is attach the camera to the battery pack and lock it in place. Then, attach the camera to the swivel mount, plug it in, and the app will guide you through the setup process.
After the setup is done and the camera is connected to your home Wi-Fi, you can mount the camera wherever you choose. And because it’s wireless, you don’t necessarily need to mount it or affix it to a wall. You can move it around wherever you think you need it next.
How To Install The Logitech Circle 2 Wire-Free Camera
Installing this wireless home security camera was the easiest thing to do. Mounting hardware is included in the box; all you have to do is choose your desired location.
We decided to place the weatherproof camera outdoors in the upper left corner of our driveway, under our garage overhang. It is facing the front yard and beyond. I am truly amazed by the width of the visual field and camera reach
Once the camera was installed and streaming live, I was fascinated with the clear video, the vivid colors, and the 180-degree wide-angle lens. In the app, you can pick from 3 resolution settings: 360, 720, or 1080p HD streaming! It also features night vision.
Another great feature is the two-way talk system. You can listen to what’s happening outside and talk to anyone that is around
Every Circle 2 camera comes with 24 hours of free, secure, bank-level encrypted cloud storage. I can see short snippets of the day recorded in 3, 10, or 60-second videos. If you want more storage options, two Circle Safe™ plans are also available.
Things I Love the Most About This Security Camera
Overall, I am very happy and satisfied with my Logitech Circle 2 security camera. It has all the features I need and more than I can ask for.
- Since it is wire-free and weatherproof, I was able to mount it outdoors without the hassle of hard wiring and making permanent changes to the exterior of my home.
- I have a crystal clear view of the most important area of my front yard, where my son plays.
- I can access the video wherever I am. From my phone, my desktop computer, or my laptop
- When working in my office – where the view to the front yard is limited – I can open the Logi Circle app on my phone and have an instant LIVE view of the front yard.
- I have peace of mind knowing that not only I can see what’s happening outside, but I can also listen.
- It’s nice to be able to talk and communicate from my office, to give them a quick order. When you have over three children under the age of 8 playing outdoors, sometimes you don’t know if they’re squealing with happiness or if someone got hurt!
Working from home and parenting are both hard but rewarding jobs. Thanks to my new Logitech Circle 2 security camera, I can do both of my favorite things without feeling the dreaded mom guilt.
