5 Beautiful Back To School Organization Ideas
We’ve been back to school for two weeks now (how did that happen?), and I have yet to create a back-to-school organization zone or zones in my home. You know, a place to keep all homework supplies, a file where to store all important paperwork, and a drop-off zone for all the things that need attention throughout each week.
We have a system that is hanging the backpack in a hook inside our coat closet, dropping papers, folders, and homework on the secretary desk, and when it’s time to do homework, we sit together at the kitchen table. The system works, but I still need pretty inspiration. So, I scoured Pinterest and picked my 5 favorites!
Here are 5 gorgeous back to school organization ideas I compiled to get my organizational thoughts flowing, plus I created a pretty free printable calendar for my readers to jot down all reminders and notes.
1. Create a Homework Station
Oh, homework, how I love thee! Said no one ever!. But this homework station sure looks pretty, and it might get me excited to get the job done. Sooner rather than later.

3. Make a Homework Station Turntable
Again, the famous mason jars come to the rescue to contain crayons, markers, pencils, and more! I am torn between the caddy above and this lazy Susan below. This turntable is not only gorgeous but very functional. It would look lovely on any desk.

4. Over The Door School Supplies Organizer
This is such a smart idea. Excellent to store all extras supplies that kids don’t need regularly, but eventually will. I have the perfect door for this. Win!

5. Filing System for School Papers
The amount of paper that my son brings home is no joke! Although I am getting better at discarding and decluttering, I still need a filing system. This simple yet functional and pretty filing system is all I will need to get my wheels turning.

6. Bonus: Free Printable Calendar August – December 2016
Last year I published a free printable academic calendar that ran through July 2015. I was amazed by the number of readers that came back to the blog asking for a new calendar! So, I created a new August – December 2016 calendar. A new 2017 calendar will be uploaded soon, sign up to receive our newsletter, and you will be notified when it’s published. Both are free printables!
These calendar pages are great to keep you organized, and help you see each month at-a-glance. I also love using the time blocking method with my Day Designer planner.
Just came across your page, thanks for the beautiful free calendar printable and looking forward to January 2019.
