Home Essentials I Use on Repeat
There’s a difference between a home that looks organized and a home that’s easy to maintain—and the right home essentials can make all the difference.
For a long time, I focused on finding better systems—better bins, better layouts, better ways to organize every space. But over time, I realized something simpler: the tools we use every day matter just as much. When something creates friction, even in small ways, it makes routines harder to keep. When something works well, you return to it without thinking, helping you build good homemaking habits.

Would you like to save this?
So, today, I thought it would be a nice addition to the blog, to share an everyday home essentials list with you. These are the items I use regularly, and consumables I keep stocked because they support how our home actually functions. Some help keep things organized, others make cleaning easier, and a few have quietly shaped habits and rhythms in our daily life.
If you’re looking for simple ways to make your home easier to clean, and to keep up with, these are the home essentials I use on repeat, and why they’ve earned a permanent place in our home.

Home Essentials That Reduce Daily Friction
A well-organized space should feel easy to use. When everything has a place and tasks require fewer steps, it becomes much easier to stay consistent without overthinking it. These are the items that simplified everyday routines in our home. Click on each title to visit the product or browse the lookbook below.
❥ 3-1 Steam Mop & Vacuum
Makes it easy to clean the kitchen floor every night without setting anything up. I don’t have to search for or dilute cleaners—plain water and steam clean and disinfect the high-traffic areas at the end of the day. There’s something really nice about coming downstairs each morning to clean floors, especially in the kitchen and family room. It’s one of those small habits that makes the whole home feel reset. I shared a quick look at this product here.
❥ Spring-loaded Bamboo Drawer Dividers (with sections)
Gives every item a defined place; no more shifting things around to find what you need. You can see a perfect example in my utensils drawer organization reset.
❥ Clear Acrylic Organizing Bins
Keeps medicine cabinets and cleaning supplies visible and easy to maintain. Here’s how I organized our medicine cabinet, and our cleaning supplies in the garage, using these clear acrylic bins.
❥ Marble Phone Holder in the Kitchen
I love when an everyday home essential organizes but also elevates my home. This marble phone holder creates a consistent “home” for my phone; easy to glance at messages, use Face ID, or listen to music! Here’s how my drop station by the kitchen sink looks like.
❥ Double-sided cutting board (titanium + wheat straw/PP)
I spent (no kidding!) and entire month searching for a double sided board like this. There are so many to choose from, and to be honest I returned a couple as soon as I opened the package. This Titanium dual sided cutting board checks all the boxes. Use the titanium side for raw foods and the non-toxic wheat straw PP for fruits and vegetables. The corner on the PP side has a grinding zone which I love adding fresh grated garlic to lots of my dishes. This cutting board keeps prep simple and more hygienic without needing multiple boards
Why these work:
- Remove small points of friction in daily routines
- Give items a clear and logical place
- Make it easier to reset spaces without thinking
- Support cleaner, more intentional kitchen habits
Products That Help Me Stay Consistent
Some items don’t just make things easier—they support habits, and thats how they belong in the list of essentials for your home. When something fits naturally into your day, it becomes part of your rhythm instead of another task to manage. These are the ones that quietly help me stay consistent and support my routines. Click on each title to visit the product or browse the lookbook below.
❥ Bread Machine
When I started tracking my migraines and looking for triggers, nutrition became my top priority. The first step I took was eliminating seed and vegetable oils completely from my kitchen. Along with that, I cut back on ultra-processed foods, high sugars, and especially palm oil, which seems to be in nearly everything at the store! That’s why I started making my own bread—so I could control every ingredient.
This bread machine has been a game-changer: I bake fresh, delicious bread twice a week for my family, and it always turns out great. Plus, I save money! The one I’m linking is the exact model I have, but there are plenty of options out there—feel free to pick one that fits your needs and budget. Honestly, I’m not sure why the price of mine skyrocketed—I definitely didn’t pay that much two years ago!
❥ Candle Warmer
I’ll admit, I have a candle warmer in nearly every corner of my home -four, to be exact- because it’s just that comforting. With a two-story house, I like having one nearby. For instance, each evening while I make dinner, I switch on the one sitting on my kitchen counter. That soft glow and gentle candle scent make the whole space feel soothing and honestly make me happy every time.
❥ Marble Phone Holder
I added this marble phone holder to my kitchen counter because I spend a lot of time in that area near the family and living rooms, and I needed a consistent spot to set my phone down and always know where it is. It’s angled perfectly for glancing at messages, using Face ID, checking recipes, or listening to music. What I love most is that it doesn’t look like another gadget—it’s just a stylish piece of décor when my phone isn’t in it, blending right into my kitchen.
Why these work:
- Support routines without adding effort
- Make habits easier to repeat
- Create a home environment that feels calm and cared for
Products I Use for Weekly/Monthly Resets
Daily maintenance keeps things steady, but deeper resets are what bring everything back into place. Having the right tools makes those resets more effective without making them more complicated. These are the tools I rely on for my weekly resets. Click on each title to visit the product or browse the lookbook below.
❥ Bissell CrossWave wet dry vacuum
I really love the Bissell Crosswave. It’s a bit more heavy-duty than the smaller 3 in 1 Shark I use for daily kitchen cleanups. This one is dedicated to my weekly resets. I use it across all the hard floors downstairs, and it even has a function for cleaning area rugs, which is perfect since having a cat means my home really benefits from that deeper weekly refresh!
❥ Bissell Little Green Pet Deluxe
I really love using the Little Green Machine to clean the carpet on our staircase about once a month. It’s also perfect for refreshing my office chair. If you want to see it in action, I shared a quick reel here.
❥ Crevice cleaning brushes
I honestly don’t know how I managed my cleaning before having these crevice brushes. They’re amazing for those tiny spots you don’t notice—until you start cleaning and see all the grime come off. For example, the crevices around the sink faucets, the sliding door tracks, the screws that hold the toilet seat, the grout around the shower, and even those intricate parts of my vacuums. These little brushes are now key to my detailed cleaning routine!
I was able to snag a set with different colored handles, so I’ve color-coded them to keep track. But if you can’t find a color-coded set, try labeling them or simply storing them in the area you use them most. That way, you don’t mix the one for the kitchen with the one you use for the bathroom!
Why these work
- Make deeper cleaning faster and more effective
- Help maintain a clean baseline throughout the week
- Allow me to reset spaces without overcomplicating the process
Home Essentials I Keep Stocked and Reach for Often
Finally, I didn’t want to leave out products I reach for often. These are consumables that I keep in stock all the time. Over time, I’ve learned that when something works well, I stop looking for alternatives. These are the products I reach for the most when it comes to everyday cleaning. They’re simple, effective, and make it easy to stay on top of things without overcomplicating the process.

- Dawn Powerwash Spray: I use this mostly on pots and pans after dinner. It works really well on grease and sticky residue, and it’s also great for a quick stove cleanup.
- The Pink Stuff Toilet Cleaner: works well during deeper cleans. Pour it in the toilet bowl and let it sit for 10 mis. Meanwhile clean another area of the bathroom. Return to it, scrub the toilet ring and flush. It is really good! (Trust me, I have a teenaged boy!)
- Clorox Toilet Wand and Refills: hygienic and easy to use for in-between deep bathroom cleanings. So easy to grab and clean, even my 16 yo boy uses it!
- Pledge pH-Balanced Multisurface Cleaner: I reach out for this multisurface spray every day (ok, every hour!) It works across multiple surfaces with a scent I genuinely enjoy because is not overpowering, and smells clean, not like a cleaner. It leaves that ‘Pledge shine’ on every surface.
- Clorox Dryer Refresher Sheets: Perfect to refresh my son’s Mixed Martial Arts and JROTC uniforms between washes. Sometimes there’s no time (or enough laundry to justify a load) to wash these uniforms and he needs them two to three times a week. These dryer refresher sheets keeps the uniforms fresh while maintaining fabric and color.
- Mrs. Meyer’s Hand Soap (Basil): I am not too picky when it comes to hand soap. I honestly grab whatever smells good to me the moment I am shopping for. However, I find myself returning to this particular hand soap over and over. Something about the soft lather and the fresh cut basil smell. This handsoap is a winner in our home. And the refills on Amazon are a lot more economical than purchasing just one pump at your local grocery store.
Why these work:
- Reduce decision fatigue by sticking with what works
- Support everyday routines without extra effort
- Keep the home running smoothly with simple, reliable solutions I know that get the job done.
Reset Ritual: Restock Essentials and Support Your Routines
One simple habit that makes a noticeable difference is restocking the items and home essentials you use most before they run out. Take a few minutes once a week to check the essentials you rely on—cleaning products, paper goods, or anything you use regularly. When those items are already in place, your routines stay uninterrupted.
It’s a small reset, but it removes friction before it starts.
A Simpler Way to Maintain Your Home
A clean and organized home isn’t built through constant effort—it’s supported by the small systems and tools you return to every day. The goal isn’t to find more—it’s to find what works. When you keep the items that support your routines and let go of what adds unnecessary effort, your home begins to run more smoothly on its own.
Progress doesn’t come from doing everything at once. It comes from choosing a few things that make your day easier and letting those small changes build over time. Start with one. Notice the difference. Then build from there.
