Happy New Year 2016, dear friends! I wish for you, all the great things possible in life, and may God bless your homes and families, always.
If you’re a regular reader, you probably read my last post where I announced the launch of my 52 Weeks to a Neat House™ organization challenge. Are you excited to start? I really hope so! If this is your first time visiting, let me welcome you and invite you to join us in this 52 week organization journey.
I must admit, I am scared. This is my first series on the blog and when we say series in the blogosphere, we mean business. This is also a great way to hold myself accountable for bringing you new content weekly, and getting my home in ship-shape too. Now if that isn’t a win/win situation, I don’t know what is!
So, before I publish what will be our first assignment for next week (January 4 – January 10), I wanted to give you an introduction to the challenge; some useful information that will help you understand better what I am aiming for.
I guess you could call these the ‘game rules’ but honestly, there’s no rules! This will be just a lot of fun, a lot of learning and a lot of community interaction :). Let’s get to it:
What is the 52 Weeks to a Neat House™ organization challenge?
With the start of a new year come new hopes, new dreams, and new goals. To me, everything revolves around organization and time management. When you are an organized person, you spend less time looking for things and organizing them and more time enjoying them. Once I have my things in order, I have a clear mind and everything else tends to be easier to handle.
The 52 Weeks to a Neat House™ organization challenge was created to help homemakers organize their homes one room, closet and area at a time
When will the challenge take place?
Each week (most likely every Sunday of the year 2016), I will publish a blog post where I will give you a home organization assignment.
I will assign an area of your home to tackle, and guide you through the decluttering process. I will suggest organization systems and provide you with links to articles, products and resources, that might help you along the way. Last but not least, I will publish free printables guides, labels and other files to complement the current task.[AdSense-A]
How can I interact with the community?
I’ve created a Facebook group where readers and followers alike are welcome to join and share their progress on their assignments.
Anyone can participate and practice the assignments. Participation on the Facebook group is not obligatory. You can follow along by visiting the blog and following the posts filed under the category 52 Weeks to a Neat House on the main menu at the top of this page.
Blog subscribers get first dibs, as they are notified of each new post as soon as it is published . If you want to subscribe, you may do so here.
Your comments, suggestions and/or questions on the comments box below each post, are welcome and greatly appreciated. This community is open to everyone, the more the merrier, and the more input we have, the more we can help and support each other. Awesome, right?
Sharing the Content
Sharing is caring 🙂
If you truly enjoy not only the assignments of the 52 Weeks to a Neat House™ organization challenge, but also other content shared on this blog, I would love it if you shared it with friends and family.
Your Commitment to the Challenge
You decide if you want to follow each weekly assignment, or if you just want to follow the ones you are interested in, you can do that too.
The weekly assignments will not depend on each other, so if you miss or skip a week, it doesn’t mean you can’t jump into the next one. You are free to decide what to do and what to skip.
We all have different lifestyles and needs, our households and costumes are different, and the size of our families are different too, so just work at your own pace. We are here to help, not to pressure or judge you.[AdSense-B]
