52 Weeks Savings Plan – Free Printable

Happy New Year, friends! The first week of 2017 has passed in a flash. Don’t you think? Since the beginning of the year is always a time for goal setting and getting organized, I thought some of you may enjoy this 52 Week Savings Plan Printable.

I hustled so much to get things done on time for the holidays that I literally crashed this past week. So, forgive me if the printable comes in a week later than it is supposed to. Luckily, week 1 calls for $1.00 in savings only! This 52 week money challenge has been making the rounds on Pinterest for quite a while, but this is my first year trying it myself. Let’s see how it goes!

How Does the 52 Week Money Challenge Work?

If you’ve never seen or heard about the 52 week savings plan o money challenge, here is the breakdown.

  • Starting on the Week 1 of the year, you will save $1.00; then you will save $1 extra each week (i.e: $2 on week 2, $3 on week 3, $4 on week 4, etc.) until you reach $10 on week 10.
  • After that, the savings increment is by $5 ($15, $20, except it stays at $25 for 6 consecutive weeks, and then stays at $30 for 2 consecutive weeks)
  • $35 is the highest amount you have to save for 6 consecutive weeks during the summer (Weeks 22 to 31)
  • On Week 32, the savings amount starts to reverse. On Week 32, savings start going down by $5.00 every few weeks and then by $1.00 all the way down to the last week of the year.
